Nigerian graduate who got job by standing at London train station with sign, now hiring

Alfred Ajani, the Nigerian graduate who got a job by standing around a train 
station in London holding up a sign advertising himself (read here ) has made 
it..and now, he's hiring. Alfred who got hired by a recruitment firm, the Astoria 
Group, returned to the same spot where he once stood looking for a job in August 
2014, but this time he was there to advertise positions on his team.
Alfred returned to the same spot on Jan. 22nd with a different sign that read 
'Now, I'm hiring' 
"It feels good to be putting something back and I’m hoping to take the brand 
to universities over the next year,’ he told Mail Online.
The 22 year old Marketing and PR Projects Manager has been given the 
responsibility of looking for new employees for his company as it begins an 
expansion.

Nigerians In USA Endorse Buhari For President

Transparent Democracy and Good Government for Nigeria (TransDGGN), a 
not-for-profit organization based in the United States of America, has 
endorsed General Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of All 
Progressives Congress (APC), for the presidency in the February election.
A statement by Dr. Emmanuel Abiodun Dada, the Founder and President of 
TransDGGN, USA, said the unanimous decision to endorse the candidacy of 
Buhari was taken at the group’s extraordinary meeting held last Sunday.
It explained that the group took the position for three main reasons: 
President Goodluck Jonathan has failed woefully to lead Nigeria with 
dignity, integrity and honor which is required of the office of the 
president, and under his watch, Nigeria has become a failed state.
In 2014, according to global terrorism index, Nigeria ranked 4th worse than 
Syria and only better than Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. General Buhari 
has the experience to tackle terrorism (Boko Haram and others).
Index Mundi, has projected that unemployment will increase by 2% annually 
in Nigeria. Statistics have shown that in 2011, the unemployment rate in 
Nigeria was 23.9% compared to 4.9% in 2009.
General Buhari and Professor 
Yemi Osinbajo is not only critical for the restoration of dignity and honor of 
Nigeria but also to create equal opportunities for all, address the problem of 
youth unemployment and, restore peace and tranquility to Nigeria,” 
TransDGGN said.
It also expressed the confidence that General Buhari will address the 
problem of corruption which has become a hydra headed monster permeating 
all the facet of our society, as he is a tested man with a track record of 
discipline and excellence.
“Overall, we endorse and support the aspiration of General Muhammadu 
Buhari as the next President not because he’s a saint or he hasn’t made 
mistakes in the past but the level of corruption, impunity and mediocrity in 
Nigeria today which is unprecedented has made him the preferred candidate 
among all the aspirants,” the group said.
TransDGGN asserted that General Buhari has the integrity, experience and 
competence to effectively discharge the duties of president as prescribed in 
the Constitution and restore Nigeria back to her pride of place as the true 
giant of Africa, both in words and deeds.
“We believe supporting the election of General Buhari as the next President 
of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is a noble cause and hereby call on all 
Nigerian men and women of voting age to join the cause for positive change 
in Nigeria by going out to vote on February 14th to elect General 
Muhammadu Buhari and Professor Yemi Osinbajo to the office of the 
president and vice president respectively of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The time to salvage Nigeria from rot is now and we shall continue to work 
with other groups that share our aspirations for a better Nigeria, for 
ultimate victory of Gen. Buhari at the poll.

Conduct Oral Interview
This is to inform prospective candidates who 
applied for the JUPEB programme that the oral 
examinations for all the combinations will take 
place simultaneously on Wednesday, 28th January, 
2015 at 10am prompt at Nsukka Campus. 
Candidates are hereby advised to come with 
original and photocopies of their credentials as 
well as a copy of the application form. 
Those who 
were unable to pay into any of the banks are 
hereby encouraged to come with their application 
fee and complete the hard copy of the admission 
form on the day of the interview. The interview 
shall hold at Centre for Entrepreneurial 
Development & Research (CEDR) at 9am prompt.

He has already been scolded by representatives 
of Nigerian Catholic church who maintained 
that there’s no place for politics in the house of 
God. Most recently, Chidi Odinkalu, Chairman of 
the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), 
claimed that by his actions, Mbaka has 
breached Section 95 of the Electoral Act. Mr. 
Odinkalu condemned Mbaka-as-a-cleric’s 
actions and said a reverend father should not 
be put “above the law nor beneath the law.”
Not all Nigerians, however, agree with this

constitutional right to freedom of speech and 
stresses it is more important to focus on the 
problematic issues raised by Mbaka.

freedom of expression, including freedom

interference.” Freedom of speech and 
democratic principles and values are 
promoted in the Nigerian Constitution.
Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka exercised 
his fundamental human right enshrined in 
our Constitution. You should stop quoting 
inconsequential electoral law that cannot 
take prominence over fundamental 
principles of the land.
Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka opinionated his viewpoint 
based on the contending issues that are 
threatening the very unity and prosperity of 
this nation. I would like to see Mr. President 
take his opinion at heart and addressing issues 
raised by the man of God. You, Chidi Odinkalu, 
have no moral justification to accuse Rev. Fr. 
Ejike Mbaka of any wrongdoing under any law.
The Section 95 of the Electoral Act you quoted 
in your post on Naij.com is based on your 
personal premise and does not reflect the 
actual reality. Your inability, Chidi Odinkalu, to 
understand the true role of the NHRC – to 
sustain democracy – proves just that. 
You have 
stood too low and exhibited a questionable 
character that is at variance with the basic 
tenets of a human right activist. You should 
stop marketing your ignorance and lack of 
credibility.
It would be recalled that in November 2014, Rev. 
Mbaka pledged his support for President 
Goodluck Jonathan. A few months later, in his 
New Year address, Mbaka declared the 
President a failure and mocked him by calling 
him “bad luck”. This change of disposition, as 
well as the controversy of a cleric expressing his 
political views, is being frowned upon by many 
Nigerians

1. He knows he is good at something: Knowing his worth is usually the first step 
towards wealth creation. Baby-sitting, baking, gardening or whatever so long as 
he recognizes that the skills he honed are exchangeable for money.
2. He is self-disciplined: He has the ability to concentrate on future financial 
goals without swaying from everyday tasks that will lead him there. No matter 
how boring or unpleasant.
He thinks it’s always his fault. Either partially or entirely. It might seem a little 
sadistic but it’s him actually knowing that he has control over his environment, 
decisions and ultimately his own future.

Oga Interviewer, Don’t Ever Call Me Beautiful! (A Letter To Hr’s In Nigeria)

I am addressing this letter to every past ( & prospective HR) I have encountered 
in the cause of my job hunt because I want my next interview to be my last in a 
long time.
Dear Sir 
I'm guessing you have my résumé since I have literally applied for every vacancy 
listed online. 
You may send your invitation email tomorrow, next week, next month or next year 
but just as you listed the requirements for your ideal candidate, permit me to 
state my own prerequisites so there won't be any conflict of interest when we 
eventually meet.
1. I will not wear my Christmas clothes for the interview. 
As a lady, I am expected to appear in a D&G suit with a 4 inch heel shoe to 
represent the image of your company. I'm sorry to announce that's not going to 
happen. How do I gallantly represent the image of somewhere I am not 
guaranteed? 
Oga Interviewer, have you ever felt the pain that comes with leaving the interview 
room with one's best clothes after the HR says "I'm sorry, you failed the GMAT 
so you will not be moving on to the next stage." Or stares from passersby, 
wondering why you are roaming with your CV dressed in a corporate attire during 
work hours. 
That does not mean I wouldn't look decent. I like to keep my dressing simple in 
the event I find myself local pub where I can drink & pretend I was successful in 
your recruitment.
2. My double ear piercings does not make me the wrong person for the job. 
I know tattoos are wrong on all count but piercings on the ear? The last time I 
checked, the position was not a choir mistress for an Apostolic Church. I have 
been putting on inconspicuous studded earrings since I began job hunting. How else 
do I show I'm professional enough? Do I have to cut off my ears? Dear HR of 
ABC company, how would a tiny ring affect my ability to use microsoft? Just say 
I remind you of your ex-girlfriend!
3. Four-person slot is not graduate trainee position 
Okay, this is the first time your company needs as much as 4 candidates to fill up 
a position. I understand you are doing unemployed graduates a favour but why did 
you have call it graduate trainee recruitment, subsequently deceiving thousands 
of job seekers online with the aim of achieving free publicity for your company? 
How do you intend to pick the best four from the 15,000 applications you received. 
I'm guessing you stopped reading CV's after the first 100. This is the reason we 
never met cos my awesome résumé was the 12751th.
4. Be very specific with you ideal candidate before I show up 
She must be on low cut, must not be more than 27, must have had at least 4 
years cognate experience; 1 in a managerial position, must have ACII but ICAN is 
preferable, must be multilingual, must be a graduate of a private university; 
foreign university is preferable, must have flat tummy, must be living at most 30 
metres from the company, must be able to work without pay for the first three 
months ( na so! Is it because some churches are currently running a 100 days dry 
fast program), must be able to market GNLD products? 
State what you want in the vacancy. 
I hate unrealistic surprises after I have wasted my transport money.
5. I won't give you my photograph. 
If I don't stand a 70 percent chance of getting the job, I see no reason why I 
should come with all my certificates if it will eventually end up in your company's 
trash can. 
Sir, photocopies are expensive. Taking passports are a chore, do you even know how 
difficult it is to smile these days with all the brouhaha happening in Nigeria? I'm 
guessing no. After all, you have lots of money and a job to keep you busy.
6. Open interviews? Keep your marketing offer! 
Many people shy away from marketing jobs because of the poor pay. I am one of 
them. (Except you want me to use my blog to promote your product/service) 
After roaming the street like a mad man to find customers, one is offered only 
0.1 percent commission. Like what the hell? If it were that easy to get 
marketers, why did your company use euphemisms like vacancy for the post of a 
'brand activator', 'key tele agents', DSA! Chief marketing technician? Yimu 
If marketing is part of the job requirement, let me know prior to that! I was 
offered a job as an accountant in a pension company in Benin and the next thing 
the HR said was, "You know, this is a new company so you also have to bring in 
clients or your salary will be slashed by more then 50%." I told him don't even 
know anyone or my way round Benin! He said "Don't you have rich aunties and 
uncles?" I said "no. If I had super rich relatives, would I be needing the job?" 
Next thing I heard was "We will get back to you." 
I'm still waiting...
7. Salary is a very sensitive issue 
Please when its time to discuss my salary expectations, don't bring your 
colleagues to distract me. Its no time for jokes. I'm a sucker for compliments. For 
this singular reason, my mom stopped sending me market errands cos when she 
gives me N5000 for soup items. I hand the entire sum to the first trader that 
tells me 'Omalicha...Sweety mi...African Queen, come and buy my yams." 
Dad also stopped sending me to make cash deposits cos when the beggar seated 
outside the bank says, "Fine girl, Angel, please gimme money. God go bless you 
for this life." I hand over the money to him. 
Last year, an HR asked how much I wanted and before I could say N120000 is 
okay. lol, his colleague chipped in "Mr Aderemi this particular candidate looks so 
humble. . . Her smile is really infectious." 
I heard that and stupidly said "You guys can pay me anything like. I will 
manage." 
The HR said, "We will give you N20000 per month." 
Yimu! Do you know how much it cost to maintain this smile?
8. ABC Company is not the place for salary earners.
I can see that's your company core values. I understand you need my salary to 
keep up with your biannual vacation to Seychelles. No problem. 
I am going to work for you without pay. After all, I can do all things through 
Christ Who strengthens me. 
But what other incentives are you offering? Am I going to learn on the job? No. 
Would it advance my career development? Maybe. Would I have to cross third 
mainland bridge to work everyday? Yes. Do you have a company bus? No. 
Is your firm an advertising and communications firm, you know that's my dream 
career path? No. 
So why do you want to 'eat' my salary? No answer.
Gentlemen, let him who has ears, hear!

NOUN Graduates To Start Going For NYSC, Law School

National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) in graduates within the 
age bracket will start going for Youth service (NYSC) soon. This was 
revealed by the Vice Chancellor of NOUN, Prof. Ado Tenebe. He also 
said that its law graduates may soon gain admission into the Nigerian 
Law School, following discussions and intervention by eminent 
Nigerians who believe in the vision and mission of the institution as a 
full-fledged university.
The VC of National Open University was speaking at the convocation 
assembly where he was showcasing first first-class graduates of the 
institution to the general public.
Here are his exact words, “We are at an advanced stage, because 
eminent Nigerians like the former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who 
is also one of our students, and respected citizen of this country have 
taken it upon themselves to help us contact the authorities to allow our 
graduates go through the Law School and participate in the bar.”

African Female Footballer Of The Year Asisat Oshoala Signs On To Liverpool Ladies

The 20-year-old Nigerian international from signs from the Nigerian Women’s 
Championship winners, Rivers Angels.
Oshola is described as "an explosive forward" and was voted as the most 
valuable player at the U20 World Cup in Canada in 2014, where she was also top 
scorer.
Matt Beard’s side are currently preparing for the upcoming WSL and Champions 
League campaigns.
Speaking of her move to Liverpool, Asisat said: “Since I began my football 
career I have always dreamt of being a professional footballer so to be able to 
join the reigning Women’s Super League champions is absolutely fantastic.
“Liverpool Ladies are a massive Club who have some fantastic players who I 
believe can help to develop my game to the next level. It was also a big incentive 
to be able to play in the Uefa Women’s Champions League which is a huge 
competition and one I’m confident we can do well in.”
Liverpool Ladies manager, Matt Beard said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have 
signed Asisat as she is one of the World’s top young footballers. Asisat proved 
in the U20 World Cup what a top class talent she is and this signing is a big 
coup for us.
“The Women’s Super League continues to improve year after year so it is vital 
that we strengthen our squad following last season’s successful title defence. 
This signing is definitely one that the supporters can be extremely excited 
about.”

slowly eating away your sex drive under your

Many people have made lifestyle choices that 
are slowly but surely killing their sex life.
Most of these people do not notice until it 
becomes too late to make amends, sex drive/ 
performance node-dives and then they begin to 
panic.
The signs are usually there and the discerning 
will notice – maybe your appetite for sex drops 
or you don’t perform anymore, three rounds 
become two and then you get premature 
ejaculation issues. 
Here are four of these things you must watch if 
you want to save your sex life:
1. You use too much drugs or medicine. Drugs, 
especially antidepressants can cause sexual 
side effects which include erectile 
dysfunction, orgasm issues and lowered 
libido. Birth control pills, anti-histamines, 
decongestants can also interfere with your 
sex drive. So watch it.
2. You take too much alcohol. You must know 
that taking too much alcohol is bad for your 
sex drive and your overall health. It can 
drastically decrease your sexual 
performance. A glass or a bottle is enough.
3. You don’t sleep enough. Sleep is very 
important, more than many realise. Skipping 
sleep may lower your libido because you need 
it to function properly.
4. You are putting on lose weight. As you get 
larger and put on the fat, your sex drive 
and performance suffer. Diabetes and high 
cholesterol levels, linked to obesity, can also 
impact your libido. If you’re going down that 
line, you might want to start getting fit.
Check and cross check your lifestyle choices.
If you are found wanting in any of these, then 
you should consider correcting it today – be 
careful the way you use drugs, step down on 
alcohol, sleep well and lose that fat.

INEC Moves To Scuttle Jonathan’s Re- election

As the general elections remains few weeks away, 
facts are beginning to emerge on the plans of 
insiders in the Independent National Electoral 
Commission (INEC) to scuttle President Goodluck 
Jonathan’s re-election bid and frustrate the 
electoral fortunes of State and National Assembly 
candidates loyal to him, including those from 
Anambra State.
It is important to point out that the heavy weights 
being schemed out at the instance of a group led 
by Ejike Oguebego, a loyalist of Chief Chris Uba in 
complicity with INEC officials synchronized by 
the duo of Ambassador Lawrence Nwuruku and 
Barrister Bawa are those who can swing votes in 
favour of the President and PDP in Anambra 
State.
Investigation by our reporter revealed that part of 
the moves to stop President Jonathan from 
coasting home to victory in the forthcoming 
Presidential election billed for February 14, this 
year  was the complicity of the electoral 
commission  with the  Oguebego-led  faction of the 
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to botch a court 
order.
Recall that, in the run-up to the 2015 general 
elections, Mr. Oguebego faction of the PDP in 
Anambra State had obtained an order of the 
Federal High Court presided by Justice Chukwu in 
which the court recognized Oguebego-led PDP in 
the State and whatever list of candidates 
emanating from it.
Specifically, the Justice Chukwu’s Federal High 
Court judgment order in suit No. FHC/ABJ/ 
CS/854/2014  in Paragraph 5 states as follows: 
That the 2nd defendant (INEC), its agents, 
servants,  privies, assigns, officials, whatsoever 
name they may be called, are restrained from 
accepting or receiving  any delegate list or 
nominated candidates that may emerge from the 
congresses or primaries conducted by the 
Caretaker Committee  set up by  the 1st defendant 
(PDP) for the PDP, Anambra State Chapter, except 
those that  may emanate from  the plaintiff 
(Oguebego).
By this order, it means that if PDP sends any list to 
INEC that is not from  Oguebego, INEC is 
restrained from accepting the list.
However, in the process of nominating candidates 
for the general elections, an exparte  judgment 
was obtained at the FCT High Court of equal 
jurisdiction ordering   the PDP on one hand to 
submit to INEC the names of Senator Andy Uba, 
Hon. Mrs Uche Ekwunife and Princes Stella Oduah 
as senatorial candidates for Anambra South, 
Central and North districts and on the other hand 
ordering INEC  to process and publish the said 
names.
INEC believed to have been compromised dilly- 
dallied and did not publish the names of senator 
Uba, Ekwunife and Oduah until the order expired.
Operationally, legal minds are of the opinion that 
the court judgment earlier obtained by Oguebego 
did not give any specific or direct order to INEC 
and the electoral commission has no power or 
authority  to collect list of candidates from a State 
Chapter of the party contrary to well-established 
position of the law of the land, the Electoral Act 
and Supreme Court of the land, that ruled that it 
is only the National Chairman and National 
Secretary of a Party that  can submit list of its 
candidates  to INEC.
It is an accepted position in law  that any law that 
conflicts with the Constitution of the Federal 
Republic of Nigeria is rendered null and void and 
of no effect.
This position, may have informed the contention 
of those who stand by the decision of Senator Uba, 
Hon (Mrs) Ekwunife and Princess Oduah to go 
ahead with their campaigns, stressing that only 
the National leadership of the party represented 
by its National  Chairman and National Secretary 
that should submit  names of its candidates for the 
election.
But Chief Chris Uba’s moles in INEC, particularly 
Ambassador Lawrence Nwuruku, the INEC’s 
Commissioner for the South East zone   and 
Barrister Bawa, the acting  Director of Legal 
Department think otherwise and are frustrating 
National Chairman of INEC, Professor Attahiru 
Jega’s desire to obey  the Supreme Court 
interpretation of the law to wit,  that the 
National  Chairman and National Secretary of a 
party are the only officials of a political party 
mandated to submit names of its candidates to 
INEC .
Against the backdrop of the two conflicting 
orders, and desire of Professor Jega to  toe legal 
line to implement the Supreme Court order, the 
duo of Nwuruku and Bawa, according to sources, 
asked Chief Chris Uba to file a contempt 
proceedings against the National Chairman of 
INEC to use it to deceive him and create the 
impression that the commission is disobeying a 
lawful court  order.
This gambit, it was gathered, was what prompted 
Jega to remove his hands from the matter and 
allow the Legal Department to have its way to 
interpret the Justice Chukwu’s court order to 
allow the Oguebego group to favour Chief  Chris 
Uba, Senator Annie Okonkwo and John Emeka for 
the Senate seats, among others.
In addition, to the Legal Department, INEC has the 
Delta State-born Ire Miren as Head of the  Legal 
Services Committee which has five Commissioners 
including Nwuruku from Ebonyi  State who was 
asked to share the  ‘dirty money’ from the hatchet 
job running into about one hundred million to 
other members for a job well  done, though some 
officials denied ever receiving the money. It was 
gathered that he collected close to N200 million 
from the political godfather gunning for elective 
post in Abuja from which he was able to put up 
one of the best mansions in the South-East geo- 
political zone.
Insiders in INEC, still make a jest of the situation 
that when Jega led INEC chieftains to a wedding 
ceremony of Ambassador Nwuruku’s daughter at 
his country-homein December, last year, the INEC 
National Chairman was baffled to discovered the 
magnificent edifice put up by his junior officer the 
source of which is a subject of secret probe, 
according to an insider who leaded anonymity.
Ambassador Nwuruku’s accomplice, Bawa is said 
to perpetrate sleaze with impunity especially in 
money laundering believable through the Alhaji 
Wase who operates Bureau de Change near 
Sheraton Hotel, Abuja.
The move to push the Oguebego list at the instance 
of Nwuruku and Bawa, according to a source, 
unsettled the Secretary to the Federal 
Government, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim who had 
preferred the former Aviation Minister, Princess 
Oduah to former Transport Minister of State, 
Chief Emeka, a brother to former Deputy 
Governor, Chinedu Emeka.
According to information made available to our 
reporter, Senator Anyim contacted  his kinsman, 
Nwuruku on 12th January this year on his interest 
to have Princess Oduah to replace Chief Emeka as 
the Senatorial candidate of the PDP for Anambra 
North in Oguebego list, but Nwuruku pointedly 
told the SGF that he could only do so with the 
consent of Chief Chris Ubah.
On account of this, a meeting between Senator 
Anyim and Chief Chris Uba, it was learnt, was 
arranged by Nwuruku for the interested parties 
and held at Chris Uba’s Asokoro residence in 
Abuja,  but it could not achieve any purpose 
because the deadline had elapsed for substitution 
and Chief Emeka refused any underground move 
to substitute his name.
The fear now, pundits observe, is that, given the 
fact that the Legal Department of INEC is the 
engine room  of the Commission and is involved 
in the intrigues and monumental sleeze, the 2015 
elections may be bungled and not be free and fair, 
if these characters are not sanitized.

“What You Witnessed In Baga Is Just The Tip Of The Iceberg, We Have Enough Weapons To Destroy Nigeria!”-Boko Haram In Shocking New Video Displaying Weapons Seized From Baga

A man purporting to be Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau on Tuesday 
claimed responsibility for an attack on the northeastern town of Baga in 
which scores of civilians were killed when the insurgents seized a 
multinational military base in a new video.
The insurgents, who invaded Baga at the start of the year, razed many 
buildings and homes in the week that followed, shooting civilians as they tried 
to flee, witnesses said.
In the new video posted on You Tube, Shekau talking in the northern Nigerian 
Hausa language surrounded by masked gunmen, said: 
“We are the ones that carried out the attack and it is just the tip of the 
iceberg,” the man says. “There are more coming.”
Commenting on weapons seized from Baga, he says they are “enough to 
annihilate Nigeria.”
