We often hear the phrase “Love yourself” and
we say, that’s basic. That’s automatic. You
don’t have to be told to love yourself or to be
taught how.
But, do we really do it?
Loving yourself means taking care of yourself
in every way. It means always striving to be
better than the person you were yesterday.
Here are 10 ways to become a better you:
1. Get lots of rest.
Working hard has it’s rewards but don’t let
yourself get overworked. Learn to prioritize
so that you will not be behind your schedule
and compromise yourself. You need 6-8 hours
of sleep every day. Don’t abuse your health
by staying up late doing nothing important or
sweating the small stuff.
2. Invest your money.
Because even though you’re well off now,
doesn’t mean it will always be that way.
Things happen and if and when they do, you
want to be prepared for whatever life throws
your way.
3. Remove toxic people from your life.
Toxic people whether we want to believe it or
not, effect our well being. They drain us
emotionally and sometimes emotional
abuse effects our physical well being as well.
4. Guard your heart.
When you know better, you do better. We all
have to take responsibility for our bad
choices. By continuing to hold on to someone
you know is bad for you, you only prolong the
right person from coming into your life.
5. Make the right choice.
Always choose good over bad… right over
wrong
Select the healthier option when deciding
what to eat.
Always think about the consequences of your
actions.
6. Encourage yourself.
Zig Ziglar said, “Motivation doesn’t last. Well,
neither does bathing – that’s why we
recommend it daily”. Listen to podcast of
motivation speakers, watch inspiring videos,
join groups on social media or in your area
that advocate on encouraging people and
bringing out the best in you.
7. Laugh hard and laugh often.
Here’s another quote: “Laughter is the best
medicine”. Studies back this up by showing
the benefits of laughter in our body. Watch
comedy films, read funny books, hang out
with funny people.
8. Do more of what makes you happy.
Make more time for your passion as it fires
you up like no other.
9. Listen to what your body is telling you.
If you’re tired, rest.
If you’re hurt, cry and don’t hold back.
If you’re bothered, deal with your issue.
10. Worship more.
Worshiping can nourish the soul. When you
nourish your soul, beautiful things happen in
your life..
Love yourself. There will only ever be one
you.
Learn to love yourself selflessly so you can
share this love to the world, because you
cannot give what you do not have.
