Boko Haram militants today raided a cement facility owned by French group Lafarge,
stealing some vehicles. According to one Samail Adnan a resident of Ashaka town who
spoke with AFP, the sect members arrived their town shouting and shooting
sporadically
"The gunmen kept shouting 'Allahu Akbar' and firing guns haphazardly.
They
went into the cement factory and took away some vehicles,"
The militants who arrived the town around 7am through Bajoga, raided banks, burnt
down a police station and some government buildings. The military was able to repel
their attacks in Bajoga, pushing them to Ashaka where they gained entrance into the
cement factory and stole some vehicles.
